Best Liability Insurance for Architectural and Real Estate Photographers

Real estate shoots can be high-pressure environments, often taking place in homes, commercial properties, or construction sites. Photographers may also take pre-shoot photos in a studio or other on-location settings. Liability insurance provides protection if a client, property owner, or bystander is injured due to your setup, ensuring that your business is safeguarded against potential claims.

The Best Equipment & Camera Insurance

It’s a common misconception that the warranties either provided with cameras or other high-value photography equipment or extended warranties offer sufficient protection. While warranties provide limited coverage, they fall short of the comprehensive protection that professional real estate and architectural photographers need. Additionally, managing multiple warranties from various providers can be a hassle when filing claims for accidental damage or defects.

Why Architectural and Real Estate Photographers need Equipment Insurance

Theft and accidental damage coverage
Our equipment insurance covers your gear not only for accidental damage but also in the event of theft, ensuring you’re not left without the tools needed for your next shoot.

Equipment Replacement Cost Coverage
Unlike warranties, we don’t just pay the depreciated value of your equipment. If your camera or gear needs replacement, we cover the cost of a replacement even if that means a newer model because your existing equipment has been discontinued. This applies to all photography gear and office equipment, including laptops and monitors.

Owned and rented equipment coverage
Our insurance extends to rented equipment as well, offering peace of mind when you need additional gear for a specific project.

Fire, Windstorm, Earthquake, Flood, Vandalism coverage
Our coverage includes many perils often excluded by other insurers, ensuring your equipment is protected from a range of unexpected events.

No per-item limit, no itemization needed
You select the overall coverage amount you need, and we don’t impose per-item limits. Whether you have a high-value camera or multiple pieces of gear, we’ll cover up to the policy limit you choose, with no itemization required.

No per item or aggregate limit

RVNA places no limits on the value of your camera or equipment. For example, If a photographer selects a $10,000 coverage limit then the equipment is covered up to $10,000 even if that amount is for a single camera accidentally damaged that costs $10,000 to replace. Other insurance places per item limits on camera and gear.

Owned and rented equipment

RVNA’s Photographer Insurance provides coverage for owned and rented equipment. For example: A photographer rents lights for a shoot and a light gets damaged. RVNA’s Camera Equipment Insurance covers the replacement cost of the equipment up to the insured limit. Other insurance excludes rented equipment.
